Greetings....
Just picked up my
new (to me) coupe. On the flight home...the AS seemed a little high, compared
to the last coupe. The next day I looked under the panel and noticed a
line disconnected from the Air Speed gage. The other coupe had the pitot
tubes (both) going to the Air speed indicator...this one has one line to the
AS...the other goes to the altimeter, tied to the Vertical speed and
then tied back to the air speed..but the the one to the AS had been
disconnected. Took the plane out yesterday and flew a bi-directional track
averaging AS and GPS ground speed and they came out pretty close. Then I hooked
up the line to the AS that was disconnected and flew it again......no
noticeable difference. Can anyone think of any reason why it had been
disconnected...or even, should the gages even be tied together with the static
port????
Thanks, JR
