I get the digest email, which obviously some others get also, as I see
entire digests quoted in replies! I'm commenting on 3 emails in the
recent
digest:

Wayne, as usual an amusing and instructive story from you.
Happy Holidays to you and yours...I'll try to look you up
in Steinbeck-land when it gets warmer.

Pete, I also keep a fuel (and oil usage) log, but do you really
find the fuel sticks useful? I have an Alon, and it came with
a fuel stick (plastic dip tube actually), but I find that the
tank is such that only a few gallons down, I can't detect any
fuel with the stick. So I largely depend on hours flown, and
of course the bobber gage on the header tank.

Roger, at my last annual I replaced the electromechanical
voltage regulator with a Zeftronics model (http://www.zeftronics.com/
and sold by the usual aircraft supply shops). It generates
at a lower rpm than the normal ones and simply seems more
reliable.
