Alon Aircoupe with Continental C-90-16F engine. The fuel pump quit, evidenced by the header tank fuel gage dropping even though there was fuel in the wing tanks. So with a mechanic's help I got an overhauled fuel pump, Aero Accessories Part Number 9051, from Sacramento Sky Ranch, installed and it seems to work fine. However, the mechanic called and said we need to check that it is indeed the correct fuel pump. At their web site http://www.aeroaccessories.com/fuelpumps/continentalappguide.html it clearly says that the proper fuel pump for my engine is P/N 6861 for the rebuilt. What's the difference? The PSI rating seems to be the same. I'm going to call them tomorrow to see what they say, but in the meantime wanted to check the EOC wisdom.
