OK, but what i was getting at, or trying to, is that if the student is not

licensed, then the instructor is PIC, so if the instructor is only allowed

to be PIC in an LSA, then it would follow that the instruction would be 
limited to that required for an LSA rating.  On the other hand, if the 
student is qualified as PIC than there is no need to use an LAS for the 
instruction.

Confused, by all the letters...
