Title: Flight test
----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----

I have a son that wishes to learn to fly.  I understand that a coupe with rudder pedals can be used in the FAA flight test.  I understand that the rudders pedals for the coupe come in two types.  Could someone explain the two types, their pros and cons, installation times and cost of the units.  I was going to buy some time in a piper for my son to take the check ride; however the instructor is talking about 10 to 12 hours to "transitions" to the "rudder" plane just to take the check ride.  I was wondering if it may be better to put the rudder pedals in my coupe since the cost of the piper and instructor is about $115 an hour.  Thanks in advance for the responses.  One of the great things about the coupe is the owner support.  I have restored 99476 with the help and the advice of the readers of this tech line.  Thanks for all.
