I have run across an item that seems to imply the arm for baggage is 62". All official documentation I have seen says it is at 57". Does anyone have a clue as to where the 62" arm could have come from?

Hi John,

A quick check shows the baggage arm as 57" from the original ERCO weight and balance forms thru the Forney F-1.

All of these aircraft, as produced, had all (or most) "baggage" in a short space immediately behind the seats. With the Alons and Mooneys the baggage area went back much further, as it does when your SMK 15 kit is installed.

Clearly, if you put several bowling ball(s) at the rear of such compartments the effective arm of baggage in such compartments would move rearward at least 5". Your SMK 15 STC should give the arm applicable

Does someone have A-2A or M10 weight and balance arm information to share with us?
