Thanks to all for sharing their wisdom with a new Ercoupe pilot.  My co-pilot is still a little nervous about flying with me, however.  She thinks we need as much redundancy and capability in the plane as we can afford.  I have a Garmin 92 but she wants to get a second GPS, just in case.  I have a Microair 760 panel mounted radio and a bracket mounted JHP-520 handheld.  I have a transponder with mode C reporting. I have an audio panel that switches everything in and out of our 2 headsets.  She just suggested to me about getting a traffic alert system, which I found listed at around $500.  Anyone have any experience with one of these devices?  Do they work?  Are they worth the money?  Also, I was thinking about replacing the magnetic compass with a vertical card one.  Any words of wisdom on these choices would be greatly appreciated.
