Hi,
I have successfully removed my horizontal
stabilizer. We looked at the rudder bellcrank and noticed
some play in it. I replaced the nuts and bolts that hold the top
and the bottom half of the bellcrank together. This eliminated the play in
the bellcrank.
I would like to now be able to confirm that I have
the correct type of AN hardware in the assembly. Unfortunately the parts
manual does not show this hardware. I did look at the service memorandums
relating to the rudder bellcrank but those figures also stop short of showing
those nuts and bolts although they do show the holes that they go through.
There have been some other hardware irregularities on the aircraft so I do not
want to just assume that what I removed was correct. I am importing the
aircraft so I need to be able to prove what I have on the aircraft conforms to
how it was certified.
If anyone can let me know what type of nuts and
bolts are supposed to go in there I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks again
Norm Decou
