I also removed the wing walk material and found the same problem, MEK
was only a partial help so used a heat gun also. After the first six or
so inches of the front end of the material had been freed up, I took a
grip with a pair of vice grip sheet metal pliers and pulled the rest
off. I also pull the head off about a dozen or more rivets that holds
the wing walk reinforcing corrugation and top skin together (flush
rivets located under the wing walk material ) That required me to open
up the rear of the center section to get at the rivets to replace them
and find out why the heads pulled off. Found corrosion between the
corrugation and top skin and a rear former rib that was corroded in
half. Cleaned up all corrosion and re-riveted everything back together
along with a new rib. Simple saturday job, HA.
