this is nothing to be trifled with- you need to pull that cylinder and

get the valve guide replaced or you'll end up like I did, limping home

with only partial power. A common scenario is that the valve guide

finally wears out so the valve doesnt close properly any more and you

experience a big , scary drop in power. You will have about 1700-2000 rpm

max- I was lucky to be on approach when it happened. If it happens to you

on takeoff or while you are carrying a passenger (I had my son on board)

you may end up losing altitude and have to land off-field somewhere.





better just yank it.
