Randy,
Univair sells a book on Ercoupe service memos and bulletins.  The following pay particular attention to the nose landing gear area:
Service Memorandum #15  Vibration - Nose landing gear strut and wheel
Service Memorandum #34  Inspection of nose landing gear wheel - die cast
Service Memorandum #41  Rebuilding of nose landing gear assembly
Service Memorandum #51  Installation of the 5.00x5 and 6.00x6 nose wheel

Things I'd check for would be wear or looseness in the nose landing gear upper and lower torque link attach bolts and bushings.  Then check for play between the nose strut inner and outer cylinder.  Check your steering connection to the nose gear, if you have the original connector, I'd suggest upgrading to the rod-end type offered by Univar and Skyport.  It's stronger than the original.  All of these inspections can be accomplished by weighting down the tail.
I've completed my nose strut rebuild just over two years ago, before starting all of that my nose gear would shake the fillings out of my teeth!  This would be not just on landing but high speed taxi operations too.  Randy, let me know what you have found.  If you need further details I'll try to explain best I can.  If you have an illustrated parts breakdown for your aircraft it will make some explanations easier too.

Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] Front wheel vibration

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----

I am in the process of doing some rebuilding over the next coupe of months.

The vibration in the nose wheel has progressively gotten worse and I cannot really tell by looking at the diagram what I need to replace – adjust – etc.

I have a 46 415C, single nose fork.  I have replaced the wheel bearing.  Any suggestions?

Thanks, Randy
