Hi Don::
I think the Remove and install is a little steep,
at $75.00 an hour shop time thats 13 + hours, and you can have a C-90 out of an
Aircoupe in pretty short order. Although your aim is for a sound
engine. I did this a couple of years ago for a total of about 8 grand, at
that particular time the package deal on the Slick mags through Mattituck was
$575.00.

$1800 sounds like a lot . For reference, a highly - respected shop here in Florida quotes a major overhaul on myC-90 engine at $11,000. This includes new Slick Mags and harness, new Teledyne Continental cylinders and pistons,new fuel pump, overhauled carburator, and the usual plugs, gaskets, paint job, etc. I don't know what the breakout price for the Slick Mags is, however, removing and re-installing the engine is not included ; add'l cost is $1000. Their warranty is identical to a new Continental engine.don bowen============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm Search the archives on http://escribe.com/aviation/coupers-tech/
