Hi BobP: This subject has been covered a couple of times previously. The
tail tie down is held in place by a #10 nut plate which is riveted to the bottom
rear of a small bulkhead with 2 or 3 3/32 rivets. It is not designed for, nor
capable of handling the loads which you describe.
The only safe way to winch your airplane into the
hangar is to build a harness which will attach to both of the main landing gear.
Attach this harness to the gear and your winch, and then pull your Coupe into
the hangar.
