On another point...some myths die hard.

Stanley G. Thomas is wrong (as are all who believe that ERCO made or sold 77 "D" Models).

Yes, 77 serial numbers lie between the last "C" Model, Serial 4423, and the first "CD", Serial No. 4501.
Proper research requires one also review assigned "N" numbers.

4423 was 3798H

4424 (a "D" Model) was 3799H

4501 (the first "CD") was 3800H

ERCO did, however, make more than one "D".
