Guys - Thanks for all of the responses I received. I already had the hand held hooked to an external antenna and that wasn't enough. I had one response from one Couper who had the amplifier and he says it works great.
Thanks again for the encouragement. I'll post a short report when I get my amp installed and working for the benefit of others who fly with hand held radio's
