Question for the AP guys

At what point does an alteration or repair become major enough to require
a
337?

The question comes about because; I pulled some old wiring and antennas
off
904 and had the local shop patch the skin. (There was no paper work on
the
radio or antennas I removed.) They tell me a log book entry is
enough. They also repaired the line of rivets where the fuselage meets
the
right wing walk (it had a blister in the sheet metal, but no
corrosion). They placed a backer under the wing walk and replaced the
rivets. The blister left a scar if you look hard enough, but a least I
know it is airworthy. They also tell me that a log book entry is enough
for this too.

I don't really care, I just don't want an AP or an AI ten years from now
telling me a 337 should have been filed. What they are telling me would
be
in line with other log book entries that do not to have 337s. For example

I have one date in 1956 that says "Aircraft was disassembled and
reassemble" and there is no 337 on it.
