"Back in the day," Eliacim, I shut off the "fuel valve under the control
panel." The carb would leak as if it was left on, and mixture did not do
the job like on my Cessna 150. And not having fuel in the engine is a
safety measure against a "hot mag."

Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] Turning off the Ercoupe

What procedure do you all follow to turn off the Ercoupe (without mixture
control)?

On Cessnas, I learned to turn the plane off with the mixtuure control.

The previous owner of my 415C told me to:
1. Shut off fuel valve under control panel.
2. Turn off master switch
3. Turn off engine with magneto switch

Is this the right way??
