Hi John,
SK-48 (L/R) was originated as a 10/11/63 solution to a crack found in the center section butt rib of 2815H, SN 3440 as approved by the Harriisburg, PA FAA. It consists of stop drilling the crack, and installing two angles, 2 spacers and 10 rivets; and comes with a drawing and instruction sheet.
It is a very specific solution to a very specific problem. In 1994, Univair sold the -L kit for $74.01 and the -R kit for 51.85.
