I just checked the data search and found that ERCO would find all Ercoupe and ERCO of course, so one has to ignore the 91 Records of Ercoupe alone.

But then the Database is sloppy in a way that it is listing an Alon under Ercoupe as well.

Example:

Probable Cause

Factual ,
Probable Cause

3/5/2000

3/2/2001

OSCEOLA, IA

Alon ERCOUPE

N6560Q

Nonfatal

Part 91: General Aviation

To find the correct number of incidents, one has to go through all records and sort them again manually.

Guys.

I checked the NTSB Database myself and found:

158 records meet your criteria. -------- ERCO
29 records meet your criteria------------ALON
15 records meet your criteria.-----------Forney
91 records meet your criteria.-----------Ercoupe
1 records meet your criteria.------------Aircoupe
1 records meet your criteria.------------Mooney M10

1962-2005 search string "fuel".

We are having 30 Alons 15 Forneys and roughly 250 Ercoupes in fuel related events.

But it might be that the NTSB used ERCO also to describe Forneys and Alons or Mooneys.

I think that the relationship between numbers of aircraft build and fuel related accidents indicates that the Alons are quiet often involved.

Hello All,
I have to take the NTSB as all inclusive in the reported accidents.  The
question I have is :  Is there any changes in the fuel system between
the Ercos and the  Forney/Alon  Ecoupes that could account for some
of these unknown engine failures in the Erco Ercoupe, which appear
to be lacking in the Forney/Alon models?
