All,
I am seriously considering getting the C75 in my Ercoupe rebuilt in
January or February, when it's too darned cold to fly much anyway.
The local shop wants about $2500 for the R&R of the engine, and their
preferred rebuilder wants about $12,000 for the rebuild, for a grand
(and I DO mean grand) total of $14,500.
Is the good, bad, or average? Can anyone recommend a shop that will
do the same job (new cylinders, new specs) for less?
