Correct me if I'm wrong, but "these cables" are not "listed on the type certificate" for any "models of
Ercoupes" on TC 718 or TC787, including the M10 (on which it was a production part).

Perhaps Mr. Clemmer could share the basis for his distinction, which would seem to infer that somewhere
"these cables" were used or are somewhere authorized by AD or service bulletin for "later models"?

I see confusion - not clarity here. Maybe he just drew the short straw when your query came in?
