I live on a small private dirt strip in rural central Texas.
40 x 50 x 14 wall hangar with 45 x12 hydraulic door cost me $10,000 (me and buddies provided labor)
Taxes are $465 year on house and hangar.
Guess I can't complain.
Bill

I keep my airplanes on a farm in a steel open hangar protected from the wind and weather by a forest of trees. The cost is ZERO. Been that way for years. I like that arrangement very much. I moved out of SNA about 3 yearsago when the ties downs went up to $140 per month, and also due to theeffects of ocean air a few miles away (bad thing). At SNA there was a 10to 20 year wait for hangars that started at $600 per month. Now I'm out atChino not far from the Planes of Fame Air Museum - it's a good airplanefriendly 'neighborhood'! :-).Dan Hall'47 ErcoupeN3968H@ CNO----- Original Message -----From: "Ed Burkhead" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>To: "Cflyin" <[email protected]>Sent: Friday, February 03, 2006 8:28 AMSubject: RE: [COUPERS-FLYIN] Hangar rent> ----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any> advice in this forum.]---->>> John Kuhfahl wrote:>> If you like it hot, come to San Antonio Texas.
