If you buy your parts from Univair, you will end up paying 140k in Dollars. I added ones just the big and expensive parts from them and made it easily to 120 k Dollars. One uncovered wing plus aileron is already $15000 !

I wonder what it would cost to build an Ercoupe from scratch?

1) Via approved/certified parts (hence certified aircraft) (I'm guessing
over a $40,000 if you could get all the parts)

Or

2) Via building it by reverse engineering and it being a homebuilt
experimental (perhaps by using hard-to-fabricate parts from Univair or
salvaged plane and making the 51% rest yourself) -- that in turn asks if it
would be a copyright/patent infringement of Univair's TC?

Silly questions, I know...

Is there a possible outcome from this inspection that could be deemed
not repairable at any cost??

No. Entire aircraft have been "repaired" from just a data plate. Don't
loose yours!
