This reads to me that you are trying to create something like a
fuselage buildup jig. I've seen something like this at American Champion.
It attaches to the fuselage at the firewall and tail section and you can
rotate the fuselage 360 degrees along the longitudinal axis. Keep in mind
that this is for the fuselage only, without the center section of the wing
attached.
If something like this was built, consider how high this jig
must be to clear the center section wing stubs while rotating the fuselage.
Also the added weight of the center section must be taken in consideration.
This jig would have to be able to hold that weight, in whatever position the
fuselage may be in.
Also consider the time in engineering and creating something
like this for a "one time" fix for your aircraft. By the time this jig is
ready, you may already be flying by completing the work with a little
discomfort. Don't get me wrong, there's many a time I wished to be working
standing on my feet instead of flat on my back. If there is a better and
workable idea than this, go for it! With all these mandatory service
bulletins coming about, is there a business opportunity in this?
