I have a source in Argentina that makes fuel tanks.
They have made all kinds of fuel tanks, even wing tanks and the "Dolly
Parton" 500 Gal wing tanks used on Bonanzas for transatlantic flights. (Pictures
available.) they make fuel tank trucks and replacement fuel tanks for military
aircraft. They can make them in aluminum, Alclad or 316 SS.
Does anyone have a 9 gallon old wing tank that can be taken down to them to
copy?
The costs of manufacturing in Argentina are about 1/3 of the USA.
tanks are all welded aluminum and include drain, cap, fuel sender and
fittings for drain and outlet / breather.
A good start would be a good set of pictures of a tank taken apart to
send for an estimate.
Any interest in a source for new tanks?
Would they be legal?
