According to Glen Davis (owner of that Coupe), the plane was owned by a guy in Alaska at one point. As fuel isnt available every 50 miles (like here in the lower 48) he got 337 approval for additional fuel tanks to be installed in the leading edge of the wings. He gave me the details on capacity and such, but Ill let him post it to the group.
Considering my coupe is a 1 person plane already (as I weigh a lot) and sucks down 6-7 gal/hr with the O-200, I wouldnt mind seeing that 337 and ponder copying it. I like to fly to St Paul, MN from here and would love to make it in one flight. Yes, I have a good bladder ;)

Did anyone notice that the Ercoupe shown in the AOPA article had two fuel tanks in each wing? I have never seen or heard of such a thing, has any one else?
Take Care,
