I have a c-75 converted to a c-85 running either a Sessenich 76ak-2-46 or a Beech Roby w/232 blades, depending on how i feel that day. Takes only 20 min. to change over. Rpms on the Sensenich..Static rpm at 2700 msl is just over 2000. Full throttle 2550 a few feet higher. fuel consumtion from 3.5gph (9500 msl, 2000 rpm) to a little over 5 gph (5000 msl, full throttle). The Beech..variable as it is, static can be from just under 2000 rpm to just over 2500. In flight, pick your number. fuel consumption in all cases is worse than the Sensenich due to the less efficient blade. Bottom, just under 4 gph to above 6. I'm not going to enter into the debate about redline other than I do remember Steve Whitmans comments on the small continentals (experimental has a different set of rules). That said, at this altitude and up, I never see above 27 inches on the manifold gauge. Considerably less than the engine rating. The Beech will enable a consistent climb of 700 fpm from 2800 to 7000 ft at gross wt. with a fuel consumption to match.
Hope this helps some.
