No Harry that may not be true, so far we have two Coupes with corrosion that could not be seen with a good visual inspection, I fear that we will find more and that is what the next AD will be all about, the finding of corrosion that can not be detected by visual inspection. I am not sure they have it right as yet but the FAA will keep trying until they do get it right no matter what it costs us. There are many cases where they have done many AD's on the same problem because they keep getting reports of problems or keep finding new ways that the problem can show it's self. The Coupe spar takes a lot of load I would sure like to know that the metal is mostly all still there doing what it was designed to do.

Two ADs already cover the integrity of the wing spars and the center section. Properly performed, we are in a safe airplane, in my opinion...
 
Another AD would not keep fools from crashing Ercoupes or any other airplane..
