I spent a fair share of a thousand dollars
trying to fix my radio problems. In 2006 dollars, it would probably be over $2,000-$3,000.
I consulted with several A&P and AI mechanics and spent all that money with
them.
Finally, I took it to an avionics shop.
He fixed the problem with the antenna so easily, he wouldn’t take any
money for it. (Naturally, he got word-of-mouth recommendations any chance I
got.)
I’d suggest you take it to an
avionics shop.
JMHO based on scar tissue.
