When marking redline, tach accuracy (or the lack of it) could throw you off. I have had doubts for some time now about the accuracy of my tachometer. Yesterday, I got a One Touch Digital Tach Check and will go tomorrow to the airport to check my tach. I am guessing the gage indicated RPMs are higher than true RPM. Whatever the results, I should be able to mark a true redline in my gage.
