On start up from cold., oil, no matter what type, will be more viscous, thus the higher oil pressure reading. 
Once in the air for some time, maybe 20 or 30 minutes, the oil temperature should be up to somewhere near "
book " value, probably 225 F maximum.  Oil pressure shown on the gauge should come down to probably
30 to 40 PSI .  Here I am talking about numbers that I get on a variety of aircraft types.  Personally, I prefer
 to keep my oil temp.below 180 F but I do live in a cold climate much of the year and that is easy to accomplish
 here.    I check  oil level at each preflight. Full oil or no go.
There is a modification that is just a longer fitting that replaces the vent elbow on the engines crankcase up
in front of the Continentals. It seems to help keep oil from being blown out the vent line.
 Expensive for the little gadget.
