I’ve heard that some sloshing
compound can not handle additives in auto fuel.
If you’re using auto fuel, you might
restrict it to avgas for a bit as a test.
One mechanic I respect said that sloshing
compound isn’t legal in the tanks. He said that they should be
disassembled, cleaned, repaired as needed and resealed to be legal. It was a
casual conversation years ago so let’s solicit official answers from our
experts.
