Hey jvaneman: I agree on the carburetor, however, someone wrote a while
back that the problem with the seat and needle in the Stromberg carburetor
is the way it is honed. Apparently the seat is supposed to be
honed at two different angles, which most shops do not do. I have seen many
of them do exactly what you say (leak). I have not talked to the local
carburetor guy about this, but it makes sense to me.
