Hey Group!
Paul Prentice's book Fly-About Adventuring and the Ercoupe, pp. 39-43, has a great article on props. Even has a table on p. 43 that lists engines, props, cruising speed, etc. Will try to scan it and attach it to this eMail.
(List rules sent this back to me with a "message too long" message. If anyone wants the scan of the whole table, I can send it to you individually. )
For the C85, the CL7148 is a climb prop, ST7150 is standard, and CR7152 is a cruise prop, according to the table. At recommended cruise rpm of 2400, the 7148 should give you 104mph IAS and 112 TAS, the 7150, 108 IAS, 116 TAS, and the 7152, 112AIS, 121 TAS.
Don't know if Paul's books are available anymore? (Does anyone out there?) Info in front of the book lists Paul R. Prentice, PO Box 51144, Denton, Texas, 76206-1144.
