Hey Scott: I think John or others answered your questions, however, it
appears to me that either your oil temperature gauge is incorrect, or you are
running too high of oil temperatures.
With proper baffling you should not see temperatures over 110 degrees above
OAT.
In cooler temperatures, you may even have to block some of the cooling air
in order to rid your engine of the moisture. ( you need temps above 160)
How many hours does your engine have since top or
major overhaul? Do you have the rubber seals, or the felt? Both can be fixed,
but the rubber is a little easier.
