Folks -
- Oil pressure and temp correlation:
Assuming my gage is near correct, I am reading 40
psi cold (at a hi idle) and as low as 34-35 psi with the engine
temp
215 - 220 deg F at fast level cruise and max gross
weight. Oil temp seems to peak at 225 at the highest.
Outside temps = low 70
deg.
What PSI do you folks use as a caution point for
oil pressure?
- Does anyone use an oil cooler or larger nose bowl or...?
- After 20 minutes of flight or so, the fuel in the header tank appears to be percolating in the sight tube - any one else experience this?
- I too have the mysterious dissapearing fuel from the header tank, the level decreases a bit after 2-3 weeks of non-op.
