Hey Ed: Have you tried shims to smooth out the prop run out? Use pieces of
paper between the prop and the prop hub to take out the wobble created by any
propeller or hub differences. The maintenance manual says "For smooth operation,
track and adjust the propeller by paper shims to provide 1/32 maximum run out.
This should reduce the vibration considerably.
I am sure that cotter pins would do the job, but I
have always used .040 safety wire on the prop bolts/nuts. Just be careful to not
over torque those bolts.
