I just talked to Princeton FSS. Asked what goes in block 3: "Aircraft type/special equipment" They could not find Ercoupe, Aircoupe. or,Engineering Research Corp. They did say that the Mooney M-10 would be M-10/U in block 3 if transpndr equiped. They said there have been many changes and lot of new people so things are confused. Some years ago they told me an Ercoupe was" FO2/U". I guess you could not go wrong using "Ercoupe/U in block 3 since it looks like no one much cares. For tower comm my home base tower wants me to use "Mooney Cadet". Ercoupes and Alons use "Ercoupe" for tower Comm. This makes sense since if a pilot is told he is "number 2 behind the Ercoupe he expects to see a twin tail airplane ahead.
