Where do I find the definition of major overhaul? Everybody tells me something different. I was told the definition could be found in the FARs, but there I only found a definition of "overhaul" that's too general and doesn't help me. I understood that a "major overhaul" only required inspecting and returning to either service, or new, limits everything inside the cranckcase & accessory case, plus inspecting the cylinders, getting them back to either service or new limits, and replacing a mandatory list of parts in the cylinders (exhaust valve, springs, pistons, etc.). Now, somebody has advised me that it also includes overhauling the generator, carburetor, starter, magnetos... Can anybody share a list, or a link to a list, of the things that need to be done to a C-75 to be able to log it as a major overhaul?
