I, too, wish to congratulate Randy on his success in restoring the Ercoupe and engine. He sure put in a great deal of effort. I do have questions re his measured oil and fuel consumption. I believe he indicated he is using a quart of oil in 40 hours, and that his fuel consumption is 7 gph. Neither of these figures appear consistent with what I read in my Continental Manual. Could these be within normal tolerances, or do they need some explanation? I'm not technically smart enough to address the subject, but perhaps some of our A&P "gurus" are? I'd guess a lot of us will be interested. Don
