Hi All,

Here's my thought. I'm not talking about startig a buisness. This would be kind of like a swap meet idea. Just parts that one guy doesn't need and are cluttering his shop but he really doesn't want to throw in the garbage.
For example, I have C-85 cylinders that are bored to their max.I've got the piston and rings that came out of each cylinder with it's original cylinder. They all had good compression (about 75/80 ).They are not perfect but came off of a running engine.I put new Titan cylinders with O-200 pistons on my new engine so now there they sit. I've got good C-85 rods, a .015 under tapered crankshaft that needs work and a set of standard C-85 bearings that look just like brand new but have 30 hours on them. Nothing that you would want to put in a brand new engine but in a pinch might be OK.
I'm not trying to get rid of the stuff but if you need a cylinder to finish out the year you can have one of mine for free.
Vern Gregory has a great boneyard. The stuff that I've gotten from him has been just great. John Cooper is a great sourse for new parts etc. We need these guys to be around and in buisness.
I started thinking about this because I'm interested in Eisman mag parts and Hayes brake parts. I know that guys swap out their hayes brakes for Cleavland brakes and I started wondering what they were doing with their old brakes because if anything breaks on my old obsolete Hayes brakes I'd be wishing I had their used parts.
I've got a barn where we could store the pile of stuff. I wouldn't want to make any money off of this deal or be responsible for the airworthyness or conddition of the parts.I would be happy to pick parts and ship them to who ever needs them. I just hate to throw good old parts away and I like helping people fix things up. I also can't afford to pay Univair prices for everything that my Ercoupe needs. What do you guys think? This is still kind of a rough idea. Can anyone think of a way to make it work?

Doesn't Vern Gregory have such a "boneyard"? Check his ad in each issue of Coupe Capers.
