Through the kindness of a friend, I made the return leg of my trip to an Illinois fly-in this weekend in a borrowed C-150.  N94857, 1948 414E, suffered a broken rocker arm boss while about 10 miles from the end of Rwy 2 at Bloomington, IL (BMI).  Nice place to have engine problems if ya gotta have em.  Started with a loss of RPM followed in a few minutes with engine roughness.  Carb heat didn't help so, 20 miles from my destination but 2 miles from a BIG runway, I decided to put it down.  Turned out to be one of those rare occasions when I made a good decision.  So remember, it can check good on an inspection today and break tomorrow!
