I'll reply to the list because there are many who know a bunch more than I do about this and they can insert their 2 cents.  With the fabric, the leading edges are a bit wider along the bottom of the leading edge.  It covers a larger area.  Best to find an open wing and measure.

I started the process but sold the project before completion.  As usual, be prepared to find some crazy stuff, as most of these were metalized in the field.  Buy a load of #40 drill bits and a good handful of #30 drill bits.  Find them on Ebay.  A good air drill will help as they are light weight and easy on the hands.  Take your time removing the rivets, you don't want to enlarge the holes.  Dress each hole when you're done, a crack can start with a jagged edge.  You will need new leading edges.  Get them from Univair or order sheet metal cut to size from one of the aluminum houses.  Just take your time and don't get frustrated with the process.  The results will far outweigh the junk you go through.  Good luck, keep us posted and think about writing an article for a credible aviation publication, so that your experience may help others.
