Fellow Couper's: I am in the middle of a restoration project (1949 G model
serial # 5030) and need some assistance. (Yes, I know the serial number does not
match G models but that is another story)
The cowling has some type of support system that
holds it open that I need to make parts for. I remember seeing this on a Coupe
once, but I can not remember where or when. Both side cowlings have an angle
bracket with a hole on the bottom. The hole is slightly elongated, and is about
5/16 inch in diameter. Nothing else is attached. I believe there was some sort
of rod that held the cowling(s) open. But I have no information as to the length
or shape.
I would greatly appreciate any information any of
you may have that could pertain to this cowling support system.
