2.     Common prop usage based on McCauley 71”:

 

7146  extreme climb prop – limits cruise to ballpark of 100 mph – at static rpm limit – doesn’t climb all that fast, but good for a Coupe, can always get up to 12,500’, can always get above the cloud base to smooth air (except in high desert thermals J), good for relatively short field or high altitude operation with C-85.  This is what I had and I liked it.

 

7148  climb prop

 

7150  “normal” prop

 

7152  “cruise” prop (if you’re flyin light enough and engine is strong enough)

 

3.     “. . . by using a pin inserted in the knee hole”  That’s a normal way to jack up a Coupe.  Use a thick walled pipe or rod – I bent the last one I used.
