How about this idea for Pre Oiling. Disconnect the oil line off the oil pressure Gage. Put 20 feet of rubber hose on it. Hook the hose to a can or something that can hold a quart of oil. Suspend the can 15 feet above the engine. Gravity will provide a nice pressure on the line that should prime the engine over time. Wait until all the oil runs out, maybe add some more.
I suppose there is the possibility all the oil just run down into the oil tank and miss some important areas???

The easiest way is to pull the top plugs (bottom plugs if you're the
type where things fall into open holes when they shouldn't). Then,
spin the engine over with the starter, 30 seconds at a time with 2
minute pauses to allow the starter to cool, until you see pressure on
the gauge.
When the engine was assembled the oil pump should have been packed
with grease to aid priming. If not, and 4-5 iterations of cranking
don't do it, try the following:
Put a plastic or rubber hose on the crankcase vent line. Remove the
line from the oil pressure gauge port on the engine case. Blow as
hard as you can (with your mouth, not shop air...) into the hose
while cranking the engine over. Watch the oil pressure port closely.
When you get oil in your eye, you're done.
