Joe, that's fantastic!  A double wide snowmobile trailer!  Is the one in the picture a standard trailer or one that was purpose built by someone!  Was there a problem with the tail hitting when it was pulled onto the trailer?

Don'y know where you're located but if you know any snowmobile enthusiests, ask about borrowing a double wide snowmobile trailer. I've moved 2 coupes cross country using one with no problems at all.  see attached

If the aircraft is flyable, it may be beneficial to have it ferried.  Less cost, less damage, less heartache.  Regarding a conventional trailer, you may be in for a surprise.  The coupe gear is just at 8 feet, so a large flatbed is needed.  If you go over 8.5 ft., you may be subject to some highway laws that you may not know existed.  If you get a carrier to do this, they'll know all about it.  It will slide into a truck if you remove the gear and naturally you'll need to block the fuse securely.  I just moved one in a Penske 26 footer.  Lots more room than I needed, but it was all the guy had.  You may also want to think about doing something like that.

Hartmut,

Didn’t you say you got your Coupe to fit in a shipping container?

I wonder how much it’d cost to ship via shipping container, maybe on a train.  Ed, where are you shipping from and to?
