Gang, I am puzzled about the difficulties experienced with air cooled engines in aircraft and yet when air cooled engines are used in autos, I don't know of as many or as serious problem being incurred as frequently. Perhaps they occur, but as most in aircraft are air cooled and many fewer are used in autos. Volkswagons have had a favorable experience with air cooled engines.
