The cable is 11 1/4" long. the bottom 1/4" should be painted red.
there should be a green mark starting 5" from the bottom and extending for 1/4"
Over filling the strut is not a good idea. When the strut collapses
on landing excess oil will be forced past the seal inside, damaging
it. Said oil then flows down the outside of the inner strut tube,
washing the grease out of the bushing area and eventually exiting at
the brass bushing at the bottom of the outer tube.
