Some "idiot" must have moved the gascolator on my ALON to the firewall. I think 
he did the same thing to all ALONS, M-10's and perhaps Forneys?
 
 My bird, of course, has a MARVEL carb. It shuts down very nicely by simply 
moving the mixture control to LEAN. I have had no fuel drips from my carb, and 
I will not (unnecessarily) shut OFF the fuel from my header tank, for fear of 
inducing air into the line when turning it back ON. 
 
 I am not an A&P.      DON
